Wainui Bed and Breakfast, 25 minutes from the ferry, is a modern three bedroom house. It has a king/twin and two queen rooms. Each room is en suite, including a heated towel rail, and has tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge with bottled water and juices, television with video/DVD player. Full heating of course.
There is a large lounge, with TV and video/DVD player, dining area and a fully equipped kitchen, with tea and coffee making facilities.
A hearty continental breakfast is served by the proprietor consisting of fresh fruit, cereals, fresh bread/toast and home made preserves, tea and coffee.
For your evening meal, if you prefer not to go South, BBQ packs are available, with fresh baked bread and a tossed salad, which can be cooked on the electric BBQ on the guest deck, or inside on the George Foreman grill.
Alternatively you can use Wainui as a self catering cottage.
Wainui (“big water” in Maori) is surrounded by farmland and cannot be overlooked, pun intended. It looks over the d'Entrecasteau Channel and Storm Bay with 180° views from the wide deck. Nebraska Beach and Dennes Point jetty are ten minutes’ walk away, and beach towels are available.
Relax on uncrowded Nebraska beach, take the Eco tour from Adventure Bay in the South www.brunycharters.com.au and see Penguins at the Neck on the way back from South Bruny to this quiet North end of the island, away from most tourists.
