  • Description of the Cabin in Tunk Lake, Maine

    Cabin in Tunk Lake, Maine:

Taylor Camp on Tunk Lake was built in 1992 by James B Taylor as a summer retreat for the Taylor family. It is a 100% log cabin with 4 bedrooms and sleeps 10. It is located in the Bar Harbor / Acadia region known as "DownEast" Maine and is 15 miles up the coast from Ellsworth near Sullivan.

Tunk Lake is 6 miles long and has over 25 miles of shoreline. Heavily protected by conservation easements, there are only 10 cabins on the lower 2/3 of Tunk Lake making The Taylor Camp very quite, private and secluded. Tunk Lake is one of the cleanest, deepest, and most beautiful lakes in Maine. The lake is about 100' in front of the cabin. A swim float is about 150' off the dock. Boats include: 3 kayaks (one of which holds 2) and a canoe.
