Villa in Fort Myers, South West Florida:

Our villa in Fort Myers is located on a small quiet gated community called Colonial Pointe which consists of both residential and holiday rental homes. Colonial Pointe is located just off Gladiolus Drive which is approximately 8 mi South West of Down Town Fort Myers and is 2 mi West of the 41 (Old Tamiami Trail). The Villa is approximately 10 mi from Fort Myers Int. Airport (15 min. drive) and 7 mi away from the beautiful Gulf Coast Beaches of Fort Myers, Sanibel and Captiva Islands with their white sands and gentle waves. It is approximately 25 mi north of the beautiful city of Naples and a 60 min drive away from the Everglades with all they offer for viewing wildlife. It's a 2 hrs. drive to Busch Gardens and 3 hrs. drive to see Mickey in Olando.

Further notes to the accommodation: The Villa in Fort Myers has a luxury dining area that seats 6 people and an informal dining area that seats a further 6 persons. If at any time you needed to seat 10 persons there is sufficient room in the informal dining area to put both the tables together and seat 10 people around both tables. BUT we have found that most of the time due to the Floridian climate when eating at the villa we actually eat outside under the covered area near the pool. In this area there is a large table complete with 8 outside chairs. Also outside in the pool area are sun loungers complete with small tables. We believe that most of our guests will be families with children, hence the bedroom with 4 beds in, consists of two sets of bunk beds,and the seperate living room and family room have their own cable TV's, DVD's and music centres.There is a small selection of DVD's provided but these can be hired from the local Blockbuster store which is only a 2 min drive away.

Beach Based Activities: The villa is very convienient for access to, Fort Myers Beach which is a 7 to 10 min. drive away, the more adventurous can try their skills at Jet Skiing and Paragliding.Also there are bike hire facilities and a small water park for the children. The beautifull Beaches on Sanibel and Captiva are within a 10 to 25 min drive away dependant on which of the several beaches you wish to visit. On most of the beaches you will not be able to resist sifting through the numerous amounts of seashells. On Sanibel is the J. N. Darling Nature Reserve where you should see alligators and various other animals but is a must visit for any bird watchers. If you want to travel around both these islands and the wild life sanctuary at a slower speed you can always hire a bicycle. From Port Sanibel you can catch the Sanibel Historical Tour Trolly Bus or even hire canoe or Kayak and travel along the charted nature trails.

Other Activities and Facilities: With in a 30 min drive you have access to around 40 golf courses. There are various boat excusions / cruises from points around Fort Myers which include fishing, dolphin watching, shelling(on the Outer Islands), sealife encounters (Seahorses,puffer fish,baby squid and many others), snorkeling, sunsets and even trips to the Key's. For the more adventurous you can even hire your own power boat for the day. For the serious shoppers there are several malls and department stores within a short drive and the Bell Tower shopping area contains a 20 screen multiplex cinema. There are local theatres, museums and both formal and informal restaurants and approximately 7 miles away are the historical holiday homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. Local facilities include Restaurants, Shops, 2 large Supermarkets, Chemist, Hospital/Doctor, Park and an award winning Crazy Golf Course.

The rental rates for this property are quoted in GBP per property per week.

The price quoted is per week (7 Nights) each additional nights will be charged on a pro-rata basis. Optional electric pool heating if required (in addition to solar heating) will be at an additional cost of £70 per week or £10 per day. There are no additional charges for the use of a cot or high chair provided they are requested at the time of booking. All prices are in £'s sterling, inclusive of all Taxes and are independent of the number of guests - up to a maximum of 10. The above rental charges are inclusive of all Electricity (except pool heating), Water, Air conditioning/heating, Local telephone calls, Cable television, use of swimming pool, Refuse collection, local and State taxes, Housekeeping/Cleaning before and after stay, maintenance of gardens and Servicing / Cleaning / maintenance of the swimming pool through out your stay. Also all linens and towels are provided for both internal and pool side use. The Villa is available for occupation from 4.00p.m. (local time) on the day of arrival and until 10 a.m. (local time) on the day of departure.

Our villa in Fort Myers is fully registered with the Florida State Tourist Authority and our local representatives, who ensure that the property is cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. They are always on hand to assist in any way possible to ensure that you have a trouble free holiday.
