Water Taxi, boat or light aircraft are the only means to reach North Captiva, allowing the island to retain a more pristine environment.

Located on Pine Island sound gives vacationers access to some of the best fishing in Florida. Snook, grouper, redfish and tarpon are plentiful in these waters. Beware of the otters and herons, for they are little thieves that will carry off your bait and catch if given the chance. Manatees set the pace for those willing to adjust to island time. Island time is different from time anywhere else, ticking to the breaking waves and the swaying palms. The days are long and the sunsets breathtaking. North Captiva is a very special place that was born from a storm, but endears itself to all that come to vacation here.
