Villa in Cape Haze, South West Florida: Elegant Villa in Cape Haze, Florida, near Golf Course - This is our holiday villa, our second home which we cannot use fully at the moment and so we let it for half of each year. It is an elegant villa, open plan in design, fully air-conditioned and furnished to a high standard, all white and ivory soft furnishings mean it is not especially suitable for babies or toddlers, especially as the back of the house is completely open to the pool area. Master bedroom, with 6' bed, walk-in wardrobe, en-suite bathroom, walk in shower and deep oval tub; large sliding glass doors open on to the pool area. The second master suite has a 5' bed, large fitted wardrobe, en-suite bathroom including shower, and also has large sliding glass doors opening on to the pool area. Bedroom three, again with en-suite bathroom and shower, is fitted with twin beds; a spacious room with a large fitted wardrobe, and a pretty window seat. The bedroom linens, towels and dining linens are all co-ordinated designer quality; and there are six beach/pool towels. The villa has a panoramic view over a small lake and golf course!

Notes: The ivory and white kitchen is light, airy and spacious; fitted with dishwasher, oven, microwave, waste disposal unit, and large fridge/freezer (including ice-maker); you will find more china, glass, cutlery, cooking/serving dishes, implements and accessories than you will probably need for a holiday stay, and there is a big round oak breakfast table with a Lazy Susan in the nook which also overlooks the pool and the golf course.
The family/lounge area is 21' square and ringed with deep ivory leather sofas, a room filled with light from the glass wall which overlooks the deck/pool and golf course; fitted with cable TV, top of the range receiver and CD unit.
There is also a formal dining room housing our favourite piece of furniture - a stunning glass topped table with an unusual elegant light oak base. Rarely used, but that's life in the land of shorts and T-shirts.
There is a laundry room fitted with front loading European style washing machine and matching drier.

Holiday in Cape Haze: The villa is situated on the Cape Haze peninsula, south of Venice and close to Port Charlotte, less than two miles from the coast in an area called Rotonda. Our custom designed home stands in spacious landscaped grounds at the end of a very quiet undeveloped no-through road. The rear of the property faces southeast and has a panoramic view over a small lake and the 3rd tee of Long Marsh golf course. Sunrise is a very special experience, the dawn can be crystal clear or sometimes a light mist rising from the lake diffuses the rays of sunshine which stream over the lake and pool and into the two master bedroom suites, and you simply won't be able to resist an early morning dip; watch out, also, for two frisky otters who regularly visit the lake and play on the lawn. The sunshine stays over the pool area till late afternoon, but there is always shade under the large lanai. At dusk the chickadee's sing, frogs croak, and a trail of water birds. Pool area: The pool is 28' x 13' solar heated; the deck is large enough to entertain a football team, fully screened and complete with large dining table, accompanying chairs and sun loungers. There is a top of the range European gas kettle barbecue to cook your steaks on and, at the right time of the year, a lemon tree in the garden will provide the zest for your gin and tonic. Sporting life…: Oh yes, and there is golf! Some of the finest, challenging and most beautiful courses in the world are located in Florida. There are so many to choose from, you can play a different location twice a day, or you can make friends at the local club. There is plentiful tennis, too, with a number of excellent clubs offering short-term memberships and coaching.
