Florida has very favourable temperatures throughout the year. Even during the winter you can mostly get away with T-shirt and shorts. Florida is home to Disney and Univeral as well as many other theme parks and other tourist attractions. Within Disney there are also water parks which provide a great place to play for the kids and also a lovely area to relax for the partents. There is so much to do and see here that you will be very pushed to see everything in 2 weeks. There are also many shopping malls within the area so you can take advantage of the cheap prices on clothing, CD's jewellery and many other items. Florida has a huge coastline of white sandy beaches and the Florida keys and Miami are also not too far away.

Theme Parks in Orlando: This is the home of a fabulous selection of theme parks, water parks, restaurants and many other attractions. Within Disney you have the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom. There is also Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach which are water parks. Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Seaworld are also located closeby. Just outside of the Disney parks is Downtown Disney which provides bars, clubs, shops and restaurants. Universal have their equivalent of Boardwalk which has a multi screen cinema and many restaurants, bars and clubs. International Drive is an area with a good selection of other attractions and here too are a good selection of restaurants with a few 'all you can eat' restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. The whole area has something to offer every family member regardless of age - book as much time as you can as there is so much to see and do here.

Shopping in Davenport: The area is renowned for its shopping. There are many shopping malls in the area. There are bargains galore here, with branded clothes, CD's, DVD's, shoes, trainers and many other items so much cheaper than those of the UK - you will need to take an extra suitcase - or buy one there as they are usually cheaper too! Many people take the minumum with them and buy all their holiday clothes when they get there as its so cheap. You can easily end up making a day of it with all the malls having large food courts - you can re-charge the batteries with a meal and then start all over again.

Beaches: The beaches are around an hour from the villa. There are fabulous stretches of golden sands with the fantasatic waves of the Atlantic Ocean. If you feel you want to take a day out to relax, this is the place to go. You can relax and soak up the sunshine and the children can do the traditional sandcastles and paddling in the sea.
