Cottage on Isle of Skye is an attractive, detached and well-equipped, 2-storey cottage, enjoys a lovely coastal position within Sleat. The large garden gives access to the rocky shore. The downstairs sitting-room and upstairs open-plan lounge each enjoy panoramic views of the Sound of Sleat to the mountains beyond. You are In 'the garden of Skye', with forest walks and rolling moorland nearby. Peaceful and private, off main road with working croft next door so we regret dogs must be kept on lead.

A good road system gives speedy access from Bunaite to the whole astonishing island of Skye, but for those keen to sample the delights of Sleat first there is ample choice. Walkers may head to the southernmost tip of the peninsula, Point of Sleat, or to the ancient woodland round the cleared village of Dalavil. History buffs may explore the ruined castles of Knock and Dunscaith, and visit the Clan Donald Centre at Armadale. Nature-watchers may be captivated by families of seals, otters and sea-eagles, while the Gaelic college Sabhal Mor Ostaig, only 2 miles from Bunaite, plays host to myriad concerts, ceilidhs and other cultural offerings.

Holiday in Ferindonald, Isle of Skye: Day-trips can take in the Cuillin mountain range (20-30 miles), Dunvegan Castle (50 miles), the Talisker Distillery (35 miles), the capital town Portree (40miles), whilst (via ferry) touring can be enjoyed to Eigg, Rhum, Canna--and even Fort William on the scenic West Highland rail line. Boat trips can be taken from Elgol (30 miles) to magical Loch Coruisk in the heart of the Cuillin. Very popular in recent years, the sea safari boat trip from Armadale pier (3 miles), to the Old Forge on Knoydart for lunch or dinner, or the longer trip to look at the dolphins, mink and hump back whales. (regularly seen in July and August). Local crafts and nature trails, the area is rich in historical remains, iron-age forts, prehistoric brochs and deserted clan townships.
Delicious meals can be enjoyed at five hotels, all within 2-8 miles; Toravaig Hotel, Ardvasar Hotel, The Isle Ornsay Hotel, Duisdale Hotel and Kinloch Lodge Hotel.
