Romantic Castle at Upton Cressett Hall, Shropshire - The Gatehouse was constructed in the 16th Century as an entrance to the moated grounds of Upton Cressett Hall. The moat is now dry and the drawbridge long gone, but this imposing tower with its mullioned windows and ornate plasterwork still evokes the atmosphere of the Elizabethan age.
The Gatehouse is situated across the courtyard from the manor house. It offers spacious accommodation on three floors, sleeping four in two double beds, and has a private garden. The bedrooms are on different floors, giving privacy and making it ideal for two couples.
Beautifully furnished with silk bed hangings and antiques, it also has modern comforts including full central heating.
Private garden with flower beds and fountain. Garden table, chairs & sun lounge!
