Cottage in Bempton, East Yorkshire - over 200 years old, these former farm buildings are steeped in history, and were once home to the German POWs who worked the surrounding farmland during World War 2, Copper House being their main residence. Lovingly converted, with views across the open countryside.
The Copper house is a two bedroom cottage offering 4/5 star accommodation for 4 people plus travel cot for additional baby/toddler. The cottage derives its name from the building’s former use as a grainary and stable, huge copper vats were used to boil water for feed and later the vats provided hot water for a German POW who lived on the farm during the war.
Ground floor: lounge with dining area, kitchen, toilet and basin, vaulted ceilings and stone floors throughout. First floor: 2 bedrooms with beamed, vaulted ceilings – 1 5ft double, 1 twin, bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and basin. Services: fully equipped kitchen, including fridge freezer, dish washer, microwave, washer/dryer. Additional baby/toddler and pullout bed for child upto age of 6 years is available.

Scattered across the East Yorkshire Coast are many quaint villages with shops and inns in abundance. A 20 mile drive inland brings you to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, and the famous village of Goathland, better known as Aidensfield (Heartbeat's very own vilage).
