    Seafront apartment in Swanage, Dorset with panoramic views - The holiday apartment is on the ground floor in a small block of nine situated on the waterfront of Swanage. It is just a few steps to the sea! The lounge/diner and two of the bedrooms feature panoramic views of the whole bay of Swanage. Even in bad weather the views can be spectacular, particularly when the sea is rough and the waves crash over the quayside and have been known to splash the windows!     Notes: The holiday apartment was purchased by the current owners in August 2000 and since then has been completely redecorated and refurbished to high standards. The decor and furniture throughout is modern. The apartment can sleep 7 to 9, plus an infant. We regret no pets or animals are allowed. The holiday apartment is non-smoking, but being on the ground floor, most smoking guests find it easy to slip outside. The flat has full gas central heating with instant hot water and is double glazed. Bedrooms: main bedroom has a king sized bed (5ft), and chair bed which extends to provide a futon type bed (most suitable for a child), and panoramic sea views. Second bedroom has a double bed (4ft 6), and panoramic sea views. family room has a double bed (4ft 6) with a single highsleeper bed above (3ft). There is also a cot, and a further cushion type chair bed (most suitable for a child). Duvets and pillows are provided. Each bedroom has both wardrobe and drawer space.

    Attractions in Swanage, Dorset: The gently-sloping beach in Swanage is very sandy and generally the water very calm, making it very safe for swimming. For really beautiful unspoilt beaches a trip to Studland (a few miles away) is a must. The Purbeck area around Swanage is very beautiful with many great walks and villages to explore. There is a scuba diving club and sailing club both close to the flat. The cliffs are used by rock-climbers and there are many other outdoor pursuits to follow. Swanage boasts a vintage steam railway that offers rides to quaint Corfe Castle.

    Facilities for the disabled and elderly: The apartment is well liked by our regular disabled and elderly guests, being ground floor, and is "on the flat" for both town and beach. The lounge and seafront patio have fantastic views of all the seaside activities, especially boats visiting the quay and pier. The bathroom and w.c. are equipped with convenient grab rails. Please check with us for any particular mobility access or special needs you may have.

    Facilities for children: Having a young family ourselves mean the flat is well equipped for youngsters. There is good access for pushchairs, a cot and small beds are provided and there are plenty of plastic plates, bowls and cups (all dishwasher safe). A coldwater/microwave steriliser is also provided. There are plenty of toys, books and puzzles for the pre-school age group.
    In Swanage there is an excellent fenced playground, where adults can sit and enjoy the views over the bay of Swanage whilst the children play(approx 5min walk). There is also another playground with a bouncy castle, train and various other activities available for a small cost. During the summer months the beach has a Punch & Judy show and a section of the sea is netted allowing children to play safely on floats. A new adventure playground/skatepark has recently been built within walking distance of the flat.

    Notes to the Rates of the Holiday Apartment in Dorset, England

    Changeover Day: Friday. All letting weeks commence at 4pm and finish at 11 am the following Friday. Other dates & short breaks are available subject to availability. Linen is not included in the rental cost but can be provided for a small charge. A cleaning charge of £15 is made unless the flat is left clean.

    A deposit of £75 will be needed to secure your booking and is retained, and returned to you after your stay, provided no damage or major breakages have occurred, once a report has been received from the caretaker. The hiring charge will be due to be paid 8 weeks before your holiday commences. If your hiring is due to commence within 8 weeks of your booking, please send the full amount together with the £75 deposit with your booking form. Refunds prior to 8 weeks before your booking, no refund of your booking deposit is made, within 8 weeks, no refund to the cost of your holiday.

    Gas and electricity costs -A charge of £10 per week is made for bookings commencing during the months of May to September, £15 for bookings commencing October, November, March & April and £20 for bookings in December, January or February for gas & electricity charges.
