The beautiful, Victorian Beaconside House and the three exclusive luxury holiday cottages, offer 4 and 5 star holiday acommodation for anyone seeking the best in a North Devon vacation. With heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and many other recreational features, Beaconside Country House Estate is a welcoming destination for all the family. Built in the 1850's, Beaconside House is a Victorian residence offering considerable character and charm, with unusual architecture, high cornice ceilings, large open fireplaces and original tiled floors. The large Sitting Room has glorious views overlooking your private lawned terrace and the countryside beyond. Comfortable sofas, an open fireplace and baby grand piano add to the charm of this delightful room. The Dining Room seats upto 18 people. With its high ceiling and large open fireplace this room provides the perfect atmosphere for any special celebration. Should you wish, we can recommend a choice of talented chefs who can make your meal even more relaxing and memorable. There are 8 bedrooms, all with views. 4 double bedrooms, all en-suite, 3 twin rooms (one en-suite)and a bunk bedroom. A twin rooom and a double room have an extra single bed.

Holiday in North Devon: North Devon is packed with attractions for all the family to enjoy on their holiday. The Beaconside Estate is just 5-10 minutes drive from the glorious sandy beaches at Instow and Westward Ho! There are many other local attractions including Dartington Crystal, RHS Rosemoor Gardens, The Milky Way and Big Sheep theme parks and Royal North Devon Golf Club all 10 minutes drive away. A boat trip to Lundy Island on the Oldenburg leaving from Bideford Quay is a great day out! Lots of local attraction leaflets are available in our games room. Recommended Places to Eat near Beaconside: If you prefer to treat yoursleves rather than cooking Tracey and I can recommend a number of local Pubs and Restaurants which we have discovered and subsequently frequented over the last 6 years! Our local pub is The Bell Inn in Monkleigh. 1.5 miles. Jock and Sue serve a top notch Sunday Roast! Huge portions with lots of fresh vegatables. Food is served everyday along with a good selection of wine and beers. They can accommodate from 2 - 20 plus. Please say you are staying at Beaconside. The Boathouse in Instow is one of our favourites. Situated accross the road from the beach and the fantastic sew views The Boathouse offers a great selection of meat and local fish dishes to be washed down with a large selection of wines and beers. Decks Restaurant is next door to the Boathouse. For that special romantic meal there is nowhere better! The Hoops Inn on the A39 towards Bude is a beautiful old thatched pub with a stunning menu. They offer bar meals and a restaurant area.
