Superb Sea View Apartment in Devon - Just 20 yards from Bigbury-on-Sea's big and splendid sandy beach, and looking at Burgh Island over the low-tide sandy causeway, is this truly excellent and very greatly appreciated development of 29 high quality apartments of which we let 15, and, within the building, a very good private Leisure Club. The views over the sea to the south and west, and at low tide of a huge expanse of smooth washed yellow sand reaching to Burgh Island, are outstanding. The island's jolly pub, The Pilchard, is fun to visit.
All the apartments have those sensational views, are double-glazed, marvellously light, with large living/dining/fitted kitchens, glazed doors to balconies or terraces. They are privately owned and individually furnished: the kitchens are mainly Neff, some Shaker, some smarter. All have breakfast bars unless otherwise stated. Smallish bedrooms at the back (no views) with good quality en suite, internal, tiled, bath or shower-rooms with heated towel rails. Electric heating, either underfloor or night store and convector fires. Most are suitable for the partially disabled (short walk from the car and 5 steps down to the lift). Parking for one car at the back of each property and some extra space for guests. Arrival after 4pm.
The Leisure Club, open from 10 am to 7 pm every day (closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day), has a fine indoor kidney-shaped swimming pool (40’x 20’x 4’6"), spa pool and well equipped gym and a sauna. The bar provides drinks/coffee.

Apartment L542: The building is three-storey. The ground floor (but still high above the beach - see picture) apartments have big terraces, the first floor apartments have very good-sized balconies, the top ones have smaller balconies (room for four people to sit comfortably though).
No 29 - L542. Top floor: end apartment, far end from Leisure Club: superb south and west views (great for sunsets); balcony (furniture). Buttermilk-walled, pale carpeted living/dining/fitted turquoise Shaker kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, freezer) with glazed doors to balcony. Two bedrooms - double (5’ bed) with en suite bathroom (suite plus bath-shower, window), and single or twin with en suite shower-room (suite). Phone. Selection of videos, books and games. CD/cassette player.
The Leisure Club: The Leisure Club, open from 10 am to 7 pm every day (closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day), has a fine indoor kidney-shaped swimming pool (40’x 20’x 4’6"), spa pool, extensive, well-equipped gym (treadmill, steps, cycles, Concept II Rower, heart monitors, and other instruments of torture) and sauna (no children under 14 in gym or sauna). The smart bar provides coffee/drinks through the day and light meals served either in the Club or for you to take to your apartment. Comfy lounging area (sofas) and outside terrace facing the sea. There are changing rooms, a shower and disabled loo, some videos for hire.
Parking: There is only ONE reserved parking space per apartment.
There are 4 Visitors spaces to be shared between the 29 apartments.
Any other cars will have to park in the public car park to the side of the apartments and this costs about £5 per day.

Pets are welcome at this apartment. The first pet is free. Additional pets are payable at £12.50 per pet per week.
We do also take a cautionary deposit of £50 which is refunded after your stay. This is a guarantee against any damage or breakages to the property.
