In the surrounding, you can make boat excursions to Özdere or take wonderful walks in the woody area of Özdere. You can even visit the old place Ephesus, which dates from the 14th century. Here, you can visit the diverse pool houses, arena's and the famous library. In the neighbourhood of Ephesus lies a pilgrimage resort, this is known as the house of the holy mother Maria. Then north of the town Ephesus lays the temple ruins of Pergamon. This is surely worth a visit. You can even go diving and fishing in the area.
