And winter sports enthusiasts are definitely in the right place in Bürchen! The ski area has 8 ski lifts which bring you to the well maintained pistes. With a max. altitude of 2550m the area offers enough possibilities for beginners and experienced skiers. Various events are organised here like torch lit walks, guest-contests, street contests and ski trips. There are also langlauf routes, illuminated sleigh routes and walking paths.
In summer you can take a refreshing dive in the outdoor swimming pool in Visp (10 km). Visp is easily accessible by car, bus or train. In Bürchen you will find a midget golf course and 'jeu de boules' lanes. And Bürchen and surroundings are ideal for mountainbiking. The area is perfect for long walks. From Visp you can take the bus to the breathtaking glaciers and the many cosy places that can be found in the Saas valley and Zermatt. Leukerbad (ca.45 km) is a famous health resort with thermal baths. In Brigerbad there is a large leisure pool with the longest slide in Europe!
