Holiday house in Caceres, Extremadura - Old country house in Oliva de Plasencia, restored by the owner to have a rural house with materials from the environment (slates, Musgo stones, woods, rustic floors, solar energy, etc…) in the year of 2002. The holiday house owes his name to an old Roman city of Cáparra which has a famous roman arch (main symbol of the city) supporting its 4 arches over 4 pillars. This is the only Roman arch in Europe which has 4 pillars. It is dated back to the first century A.C., inside the famous Roman paved road VIA DE LA PLATA.
Our holiday house in Caceres has 3 rooms (and extra beds with two posts), for 4-6 people. It has heating, complete bathroom, warm water, fully equipped kitchen, living room-dining room with fireplace (firewood), radio, Tv, large areas to relax, own car park, a barbecue for the guests, magnificent views and 1500 meters of plot (easy access for handicapped people).

The holiday house is situated 10 kilometers from the city of Cáparra and 20 kilometers from Castillo de Granadilla and the reservoir Gabriel y Galán.
From the Rural House Villa Caparra, you can visit the the region of las Hurdes 20 minutes on car. To 20’ you can find Hervás (with its famous Jewish District)and a large motorbike museum,one of the most importants in its cathegory. A distance of 60 kilometers you can visit the Estación de Esqui de La Covatilla, in the Sierra de Bejar. Going through the Puerto de Honduras you enter in Valle del Jerte. A distance of 35 kilometers you can find an incomparable Parque Natural de Monfragüe, where you can do hill-walking and admire the various predatory of the park and its precious views and landscapes.

Plasencia: On the national road Nr.630, from a distance of 10 kilometers, we can visit the noble and loyal city of Plasencia. The city was founded by king Alfonso VIII in 1187, and it is known as a medieval city full of history which makes us acquainted with the 12th-13th-14th centuries. Enjoy all the splendor of that age, visit its world-famous cathedral, the aqueduct, palaces, monasteries, museums and parks (' de los Pinos' and ' de la Isla')...
We can also taste the magnificent gastronomy as frog legs (ancas de rana), stew, ' tenca ', kid, suckling pig, etc…
