Farmhouse in Lerida, Catalonia: Farmhouse with pool in Castellnou de Seana, Lerida – Welcome to 'Cal Puro' in Castellnou de Seana. The farmhouse, totally restored, was built in 1695 as and has stone facade. 'Cal Puro' continues the traditional architecture of the zone based in walls and stone of tufa and using blocks of stone in very determined places, like lintels of the doors, edges,... The farmhouse has been rebuilt during the centuries but still preserves nowadays a lot of details of the original architecture. Thus the “cups” recovered, round holes practiced in the floor, entirely covered by tiles that did the function of wine warehouse while this fermented. Once this wine fermented it was “percolated” to the cellar, also today recovered and situated under the lounge. The farmhouse totally recovered, very snug, situated in a very tranquil area and without traffic.
