Cottage in CAN FERRER, Barcelona:
In one of the valleys of the Montmell mountain, you will find Finca Can Marles, where the owners rent their recently restored, romantic guesthouse (60 m2). On the private property you can beautifully relax, chill out by the communal pool, make beautiful walking or cycling trips or visit the surrounding villages (for example Santes Creus and Poblet where you can visit magnificent monasteries, part of the Route de Cister). The Finca has its own grounds of 40 ha of mainly forests, vineyards and fields with olive trees, almond trees and figs, but also sheep and goats. The owners live in the large masia at 50 m of your holiday home. But there is space enough to enjoy the surroundings, tranquillity and your comfortable holiday home in full privacy, thanks to the many terraces! The Finca is located at 500 m altitude in the protected nature reserve El Montmell, an ideal place for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. Famous places are within easy reach, like Reus with the airport at 30 minutes, Barcelona (90 km, ca. 1 hour) and the Mediterranean Sea at 25 km. For golfers, there are 3 golf courses and 2 pitch & put courses nearby that the owners will gladly book for you.
Wine lovers will find paradise in one of the most beautiful wine and cava regions of Spain: the Penedés. The vineyards of Finca Can Marles consist of parellada. A few hectares are currently being planted with Chardonnay for example. And the bodega is being built too. We recommend to do some shopping before arrival. In the nearby villages Rodonya and Vila Rodona (8 km) you will find a bakery, a butcher and a small supermarket (coffee, tea, sugar, pepper and salt, oil, are always available in the guesthouse). There are a few good restaurants and bodegas nearby where you can sample typical Catalonian and Spanish food and drink.
Attention: the last kilometres to the Finca are on a dirt road, but easily driveable with any (rented) car.
