Farmhouse in Salamanca, Castilla Leon - Farmhouse Teso I and Teso II are in the villa of Lumbrales, head of the Abbatial region and door of the majestic natural park of Arribes of the Duero. Located in one of the most traditional districts of the town, next to the Froya stream, where the tranquillity invades everything and still we can see pass flocks of ewes, cows and donkeys couples by the street.
The houses are constructed respecting the traditional architecture of the zone, with facades of stone, rustic brick columns, railings and balconies of forge and projections, porches and interior of wood. They are two houses, totally independent, located in the same building, which makes it ideal for groups of up to 12 people. They are equipped with all the comforts of a modern house and excels a great inner patio, with landscaped zone and barbecue, ideal for summer days. Each house consists of 3 double rooms, all with heating, light and ventilation to the outside, totally furnished, being one of them, suitable for physically disable people. Two baths, one of them suitable for physically disable people. Both with heating, plates of shower with thermostatic faucets and all the complements in addition to towels, soap and medicine kit. Where are we?: Lumbrales is in a the region of the Abbatial one, in the province of Salamanca. Bordering to Portugal, it is to an altitude of 673 meters on the level of the sea. Dista of Salamanca 90 km and Rodrigo City 40 km.
The Arribes: Arribes is the slopes steep and escarped that leaves the rivers to their step, creating true depressions in the land, which recreate our views with unusual landscapes that we can contemplate from qualified viewpoints. Peculiarly in Arribes a Mediterranean microclimate occurs that makes the culture possible of the grapevine and the olive tree that exquisite and wonderful wine with denomination serve as raw material for the oil elaboration of “Vino de la Tierra Arribes del Duero”. This zone recently has been declared Natural Park by its importance in vegetal species as well as in fauna. The most important river is the Duero which will do of natural border with Portugal in addition to being a power plant moving the turbines of the hydroelectric power stations, in which we emphasized those of Aldeadávila and Saucelle, being impressive its retaining wall.
Fortifications route of the Borders: The suggestive title of this route alludes to an ample border territory that extends to the west of the province of Salamanca. The defense of such spaces motivated the construction of a series of fortresses. The architectonic particularitity of these fortifications includes them in the systems fortified with bastions that are developed in Europe throughout centuries XVII and XVIII, like suitable defensive model of cities, enclaves and forts.
