Holiday house in El Hierro - Traditional house located in the outskirts of El Pinar (Taibique) represents the popular architecture of El Hierro Island. A single unit with wide dry stone walls and a flat roof.
Ample outer patio or sunny terrace with panoramic views towards typical landscapes of the area: orchards, fruit trees, vineyards and pine trees. You can discover the region on the back of a horse.
The holiday house has a living-dining area with a sofa-bed, a double bedroom and a bathroom.
Capacity for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
The original house was constructed in 1914 and totally renovated in 2007. Use of renewable energies for the hot water and a small connected photovoltaic solar installation for electricity, serving as cover for the parking area of the cars.

100 ms from the house you can discover the island from horseback. 300 meters away is the Parque Rural de Frontera, introducing traditional culture, volcanic landscapes and forests of Canary Pine and Laurisilva. Fantastic hiking trails. Hoya del Morcillo is only 5 km away, offering recreational activities in the pine forests.

El Hierro 100% Renewable: El Hierro's aim is to reserve the biosphere and at the moment it is developing a project so that the consumption of energy of the Island is 100% renewable.
Our house is part of this project, and we have thermal and solar energy to the hot water, and a connected photovoltaic solar installation to nominal 7.5 network of Kw.
This assures, that at least, during the day, the consumption of energy in the House is 100% renewable and that more energy is generated than the consumed one. More info on:

Exact location on google: From the airport or the port of the Island one leaves in direction towards the El Pinar (Las Casas y Taibique).
When you arrive to the town, follow the general highway until you find Mentidero to your left, in front of a bar and old Casino with the same name.
Follow the next exit to the right and after 400 ms you should see the house.
