Holiday Apartment in Calahonda, Mijas area:

The famous Marbella 'micro-climate' (cooler in summer and warmer in winter) ensures that this is a perfect holiday location. Our apartment in Calahonda, with the stunning La Concha mountain forming the back drop and a short distance from the sea, is ideally located for a variety of activities including golf (numerous golf courses including the famous Marbella Club within a short drive of the apartment), walking, scuba diving, surfing, sailing, jet-skiing and much more. We are close to the excellent facilities of Marbella and Puerto Banús. There are shops, restaurants, supermarkets, banks, all speaking English, all within walking distance of the apartments.

Holiday in Calahonda: The apartment is on the beach side. Local to shops, bars restaurant, and all local amenties.

Places to visit: San Pedro, just out the road from Peurto Banús (towards Cadiz), might be worth a browse -apparently some really nice inexpensive shops as well as restaurants.
You might like to explore some of the famous ‘White villages’ and Ojen is a short drive from where we are. However, Casares which is further away, is reputed to be particularly nice. Mijas is one you may have heard of – a bit touristy but still nice . . . up on a height with wonderful views.
A bit further afield is Rhonda, (an hour's drive into the mountains) well worth a visit for the drive alone - but beware of the hairpin bends!
Málaga (Picasso’s birthplace), is a lovely city with good galleries (including the Picasso Museum and the house in which Picasso was born), architecture and an interesting old town (Alcazaba and Gibralfaro worth seeing). Some nice shopping also!
Granada is a two hour drive and the Al Hambra is WELL worth a visit – depending on time of year you might be advised to book in advance.

Distances: Mijas Costa is a must, pretty spanish town just off the N340, do not miss Marbella and Puerto Banus where the rich people hang out. Take a visit to Gibraltar, buy all your duty free goods, visit the famous African monkeys, take a tour of the rock. Fly into Malaga airport 40 minutes drive to Calahonda on the N340, a car is recommended if you wish to see places, but the local transport is very cheap, taxis are reasonably priced.
