Cottage in Costa del Sol Inland, Malaga: 4 Cottages in El Chorro, Alora, Central Malaga - These farm cottages are are over 140 years old and form part of a working farm, set between two protected National Parks and about 300 metres from the small village of El Chorro. · Casa Anita sleeps 2/3 (twin beds) - €40/night. · Casa Isabel sleeps 2/3 (double bed) - €40/night. · La Casita Blanca 5/6 (two twin-bedded rooms and a single loft) - €60/night. · La Casilla sleeps 5/6 (2 twin- bedded rooms and 2 sofa-beds) €60/night. The whole complex sleeps a maximum of 18 and costs €200 per night and exclusive use of the pool. 7% VAT added to all prices. Just over an hour’s drive from the Costa del Sol and Malaga airport will take you into another world where you can enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside. This is where almond trees blossom in January and orange blossom scents the air in springtime. A traditional Sunday destination for Spaniards from Malaga with several good restaurants that cater for them. Prime rock climbing location and also ideal for walking, bird-watching or just relaxing by the pool. You can enjoy water sports like canoeing or swimming and some places on the lakes are a fisherman's dream. If this seems too tame for you then you had better try either paragliding or rock climbing, for which courses are available, so you can enjoy the wild side of Andalucia to the full. El Chorro is 60 kilometres inland from the city of Malaga, 12 kilometres from Alora, about 40 from Antequera and 45 from Ronda. You can fly into Malaga, which is about an hour's drive, or into Granada which is about an hour and a half. If you fly into Malaga the plane will start its descent over the lakes where we are. You can also come up by train, there is only one train right to El Chorro a day (except Sundays when there are none) but there is a regular service to Alora, from where you can take a taxi or we will pick you up.

Notes: Theses are cottages that are over 100 years old and to keep there charm we have tried to keep as many of the original features as possible. The high beamed ceilings mean they are naturally cool in summer.

From peace and quiet to paragliding: La Almona Chica is part of a working farm. The crops are olives, almonds, carobs, clementines and lemons. The ideal place to relax in the peace and quiet of the countryside. However if you want something more lively you can paraglide, rock climb, canoe, hike, visit ancient monuments and relax by the pool afterwards. All the cottages used to house the farm labourers and have private gardens, La CAsita Blanca has private gardens both front and back with views across the olive groves to the National Park, you can often see eagles and vultures overhead. We live on site to provide any information you may require. The swimming pool is shared by the 4 cottages. Discover Andalucia from El Chorro: La Almona Chica is a good base for discovering Andalucía. It is within easy reach of Málaga (60km), Antequera (40 km) and Ronda (54km). El Torcal (35km), where science fiction films have been made because of its unique rockf formations and Fuente de Piedra, where flamingoes nest, are even nearer.You can drive in a day to Granada, Córdoba or Seville we can help you with information, directions and where to park. Rock climbing: Rock climbing is the main attraction El Chorro offers in winter when the rest of Europe is freezing you can climb here in the sun. Try doing a search on El Chorro for further information.El Chorro is the prime climbing region in Spain and also attracts nature lovers in general (hiking, bird watching, mountain biking,...). You can rent mountain bikes in the village and there are also 'taylor made' excursions into the mountains and rock climbing courses. Nearby you can practise para-ascending and the Sierra Nevada ski resort is only an hour and a half's drive from here. And after a tiring day just relax round the pool!
