The holiday home Casa Emilio (100 m˛) was built more than 200 years ago and recently refurbished in the same old-Andalusian style. A new roof terrace (25 m˛) and two new bedrooms were added. The thick white walls keep the house cool in the hot summer. The groundfloor is heated in winter with an open fire and the first floor with a wood stove. An open staircase leads to the stunning roof terrace on the 2nd floor, where you can enjoy the summer evenings and see falling stars at night ...
Cóbdar is a quiet village situated in a beautiful valley of the los Filabres mountains, at the East side of the Sierra Nevada. With its 250 permanent residents, Cóbdar is also a small village. But in August (the traditional weeks of festivities are then in full swing) the population grows to four times that number and the village starts to buzz with fun and parties. The village is easier to reach thanks to the new roads, but it still is a place where you can really relax because the region remains unspoilt by mass tourism. There are 2 restaurants and 3 shops. In the summer the swimming pool is open and there also is a pharmacy and an art studio with works by the local artist.
The surroundings are perfect for different types of activities. The local managers organise anything you want ! From walking trips to excursions to the famous Alhambra in Granada. They arrange transport to and from various airports and offer practical help in case of unexpected problems. Bicycles are also for hire.
