Holiday in Alicante: Gran Alacant is conveniently located on the Costa Blanca only 10 minutes drive from Alicante Airport and 20 minutes from the splendid town of Alicante which lies just to the north. The Spanish seaside town of Santa Pola with its weekly market, comprehensive amenities, port and trips to the island of Tabarca is only a few miles to the south.
Attractions in Alicante area.: The children will enjoy Terra Mitica theme park with a great selection of rides just outside Benidorm approximately 50 minutes drive away. At Mundomar (Sea World) in the same area, you will find dolphins along with sea lions, penguins, flamingos and other exotic animals. Adjacent to this is Aqualandia Water Park which provides a fun day out in the summer. Heading inland and up into the mountains there are some splendid scenic runs and trips to hilltop villages. The town of Elche is also worth a visit with its cathedrals and palm forest.
Transfer: Whilst competitively priced car hire is available from the airport, a transfer by taxi can be easily arranged and the area has good public transport facilities. If preferred, a private collection service can be offered on request.
