Cottage in Praia das Macas, Costa de Lisboa & Vale do Tejo: Once a quarryman's cottage in Praia das Macas, this is an one bedroom cottage ideally suitable for 2 but can sleep up to 4 people. Situated within it's own courtyard with a great barbeque, baby grape vines growing amongst the flowers and views of the sea from the main gate, it is a mere few minutes walk to the beach and local restaurants, bars and clubs. There is a second bigger cottage next door that can also be rented to accommodate larger groups. The cottages are located in the small, welcoming sea village of Praia das Maçãs, with a friendly atmosphere, attracting all age groups. Situated on the west coast of Portugal, just north of Lisbon, Praia das Maçãs is only 12km from the exquisitely beautiful world heritage site town of Sintra. There is also easy access to Lisbon itself, the famous casino in Estoril, or the beautiful marina at Cascais. Whether on a romantic break, family or friends holiday the choices are endless both in activities and entertainment, with golden sandy beaches just a small stroll away. You're spoilt for choice with so many great seafood or traditional Portuguese cuisine restaurants just a few minutes walk from the house (and the beach!), where you can relax and enjoy life... with a nice glass of wine! Sit outside enjoying a barbeque with a glass of local wine...

Notes: The two holiday cottages have been in the family for over 50 years, having been bought new by Ana's grandfather and have now undergone extensive renovation work which was finished in Spring 2005.
New modern kitchen and bathroom were fitted, but keeping with local tradition of decor and materials, such as granite kitchen work tops and terracotta floors throughout.
It has its own courtyard with a barbeque area and it is only a short walk to the beach, local restaurants, bars and clubs. It comprises of a master bedroom, kitchen, lounge area and bathroom. The master bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and bedside tables. There is a double sofa-bed in the lounge area, a TV unit, DVD and CD player, a stereo, coffee table and shelf unit.
The kitchen is fully equipped and the utilities include an intelligent hot water system for the entire house, family sized fridge, microwave, 4 ring hob, toaster and kettle.

House Maid Service: We have a great House keeper available, She provides laundry service including hand washing. Mountain Bike Hire: We offer four mountain bikes for hire right here at the cottages, so you don't need to look elsewhere for this service. They are all very good quality and are maintained to the highest standards. You can ride these bikes around town or, if you wish, go and explore the hill sides or do some off-road riding. When you take them out, we'll provide a simple tool kit and a spare inner tube to avoid you having to walk home in the unlikely event of a puncture! All the bikes are also fitted with water bottles for you to refresh yourself en route. Please contact us for further details.

A booking deposit of 20% is required to secure any bookings. A security deposit based on occupancy is required. This deposit will be refunded after the holiday. Electricity, water and gas are included in the rental, however, we do reserve the right to charge for any excessive consumption.
