Entlang des Flusses gibt es ausgeschilderte Flussbadestrände. Abwechslungsreiche Ausflüge lassen sich unternehmen in die malerische Stadt Ponte de Lima, nach Barcelo (bekannt für den großen Markt am Donnerstag) und in das Naturschutzgebiet Gerês.
