This former restored farm (Quinta) is situated in the province Alentejo, at the edge of the nature area Serra de Monfurado, approx. 3km from the historic town Montemor-o-Novo and 500m. from the village Reguengo. This is divided into three ground floor houses. During the restoration, care has been taken in keeping the traditional style of the Alentejo. This is how the big open chimney has been kept secure. The outside is painted in the classical colours blue and white and has marble terraces. The Quinta is located between olive trees of 8ha with a tropical garden, big swimming pool and a children’s swimming pool. The view is breathtaking on the hills and the castle ruins of Montemor-o-Novo. The houses have its own entrance, veranda and private terrace. One of the houses belong to Dutch owners with their 2 very sweet dogs, who will be able to help you with anything you need for tourist tips in the surrounding and will gladly give you a guided tour on their estate of 280 ha., through the cork woods and along their herd of sheep and cows. There is a lake at the Quinta in which you can swim. Jeep safaris through the outstretched corkwoods, through almost remote villages and along castle and cloister ruins, which can be arranged by the owners. Within 10min. there is a flight club where unique round flights can be made over the surrounding in 2-pers. ultra light planes (approx. euro 20,- p.p. per 10 for 15min.). It is even possible to water ski and there is a carting lane within 20min. close to Evora. The town Montemor-o-Novo is centrally situated, 250km to the Algarve, 100km. to Lisbon and 100km. to Spain. A car is recommended, in case you want to see more of Portugal. In the village are two cafes for light meals and a little shop; there is a post office as well which almost sells everything. Even a cultural centre, which functions as, a meeting place especially over the weekends.
