- São Miguel, known as the "Green Island", holds a treasure full of interesting, exciting and exotic places waiting to be explored. This is the largest of the nine islands of the Azores, near the main city of Ponta Delgada, you will find Quinta da Terça.
A genuine 17th century estate of historical interest. Beautiful surroundings near the ocean. Mountains and valleys with refreshing greenery and enchanting floral splendour all year round. Fascianting walking and riding trails.
The estate has got a limited number of comfortable guest rooms - all located in the manor house. A lounge and a bar.
Accommodation details: each guest room has been individually furnished and decorated to give our guests a feeling of being at home - all with private bathrooms, accessories and cable TV.
The breakfast buffet is served in the part of the house where in former days the lordship had his personal horses. This "Old Stable" which has been carefully renovated and converted into a nice and cosy breakfast room.
The buffet partly consists of local produce, allowing you to experience the different flavors from the Azores.
Quinta da Terca has 25 horses if you want a riding vacation.

Horse Riding tours and Lessons: At Quinta da Terça there are stables with pure & cross bred Lusitano horses, a covered riding arena (picadeiro) with a large open fireplace and a bar, built in the same beautiful old Portuguese style as the manor house.
One of the best ways to discover, explore and enjoy this exciting island is from horseback. We offer tour rides in the spectacular Azorean landscape - for horse and nature lovers, this is paradise.
If you want to spend a week or just a few days exploring the island on horseback. We will be happy to make a special program just for you and your group. Experienced riders or beginners, everyone is Welcome.
