There are local supermarkets and restaurants within easy walk of the complex. Our holiday apartment in Portimao is within a 250 m walk of a sheltered sandy beach. There is also an 18 hole golf course - (Alto Golf Club) - within 10 minutes walking distance or 2 minutes by car/taxi. The apartment and resort is suitable for both families and couples. The busy nightlife of Portimao is just a ten minute car/taxi ride for those wanting a little more excitement in the evenings.

Holiday in the Western Algarve: While slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of the large resorts apartment Vaucosta is still within easy reach of all the local ammenities. The old fishing village of Alvor, with its long sandy beach, little winding streets and many bars and restaurants is just 15 minutes away by car. In the other direction 10 minutes by car will bring you to the old town of Portimao where the beaches are some of the best around and the shops and night life are more in abundance. The narrow streets of the shopping area are now all pedestrianised making it a safe place to wander and browse. Portimao sits on the estuary of the river Arade and the quayside is famous for its many fish restaurants. Many local boat owners are there to offer you some deep sea fishing, or a leisurely boat trip along the coast. The river trip inland to the old moorish city of Silves should not be missed.

For Children: To keep the children happy there are numerous actvities such as Zoo marine, Krazy world, Waterparks, horse riding and of course the many beaches all within 30 minutes drive of the apartment. Along with Alto golf - visible from the apartments balcony - there are other local golf courses such as Penina, Palmares and Golfe De Morgado which will challenge even the best handicappers.

The rental rates for this property are quoted in EUR per property per week.

A 50% deposit along with your arrival and departures dates and time is required upon booking. Balance of monies is payable 4 weeks before arrival. Prices shown are per apartment for two people. For extra people an additional supplement is payable. Children 4 years old and under are free.

Change over days are flexible though Saturdays are preffered.

If you prefer a more scenic and countryside type of vacation, we highly recommended Quinta Velha. A beautiful old traditional farm house restored to the highest quality and set amongst the lovely mountains of Monchique. An idyllic location and still only 15 minutes to the nearest beaches and towns.
