Impressive Castle from the 15th century, ancient customs between the territories of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and Romagna, in the heart of the Mugello (650m above sea level), 40km north of Florence, completely renovated with great care and taste with respect to the original architectural style. Typical brick ceiling on the lower ground floors, and of wood on the higher levels. Elevated position overlooking the greenery of the countryside. Comfortable furnishings in part with period furniture, central heating, telephone, safe.
Distances: Barberino di Mugello with a variety of shops 10km, golf course (18 holes) 20km, Borgo San Lorenzo 26km, Florence 40km, San Gimignano 95km, Siena 112km, Vagliagli with ABV headquarters 122km, the Etruscan village of Volterra 130km, Viareggio and the beaches of Versilia 137km.
At guests’ disposal: large fenced-in garden, secular plants, floodlit swimming pool (6.5m x 14m, depth 1.50m - 2.50m, open 15/05 – 30/09) with dressing room, bathroom and shower in a small hut close to the pool. Parking on premises. Please request when booking and pay on site: baby-bed and high chair. Possibility of breakfasts and dinners. For stays of more than one week, the cleaning each Saturday is mandatory and expensed to the guests (see expenses of “final cleaning”); for safety reasons it is prohibited to have barbeques and fires in the garden.
