Holiday house on Aegina Island - Beautiful newly built holiday house with pool and stunning sea views on Aegina Island. Situated on the south west part of the island, between Aegina town and the fishing village of Perdika, this modern house has all the comfort and facilities you could wish for a relaxing holiday. The house and the ample terrace offer one of the best views over the sea and the islands of Moni and Angistri.
There is a beach just down from the house as well as a pontoon, perfect for early morning swimmers! 'Michael's beach' is ideal for young (and less young) children! The sand, the shallow waters and the relaxed atmosphere makes it a lovely place to spend a late afternoon. A regular bus service runs from Aegina to Perdika (and back). Aeginitissa, where the house is situated, is on its route.
There is a supermarket in Perdika, about 2km away, with good fresh fruits and vegetables. Also in Perdika, in the bakery opposite the supermarket, you will find one of the best chocolate croissants ever tasted before! The first taverna down from the house, called 'Nikkos', is also one of the bests around. To eat out, we also recommend Number 13 in Perdika, Tassos in Marathonas as well as the fish market in Aegina town.

Holiday on Aegina Island: A lot of day trips can be done from Aegina island. Moni island, a natural reserve with wild animals, a lovely beach and a bar, is only 10 min. away from Perdika's port (boats depart every hour). Angisrti island is accessible by ferry from Aegina port. We recommend to put your car on the ferry and tour around Angistri island, its beaches, coves, and rocks to swim or dive from. Athens is also near by, as the port of Piraeus is only 40min by fast boat from Aegina. We recommend to visit Athens in the low or mid season as the summer heat can be quite strong in the city. The ancient amphitheatre of Epidavros is also accessible by boat (to Methana) and then by bus, taxi, or car to Epidavros. There is a festival of performances in the summer and shows with transport are organised by the local tourism office. Of course, the bustling town of Aegina has a wide range of bars, restaurants, clubs and shops and 'open air' cinemas. There is even a small water park for children.
How to get to our house: Aeginitissa is situated on the south west part of the island of Aegina. The busy town of Aegina is approximately 7 km from our holiday house. Aegina's port has regular services of ferries and hydrofoil to and from Piraeus, the main port of Athens. Athens airport has a frequent bus service direct to Piraeus (1 hour and 10 min approx.) Then, follows a 35 min. hydrofoil journey (or 1h by ferry) to Aegina.
