Depending on your interests, you can visit one of the many megaliths, the Emsland marsh museum in Geeste, the beautiful cities Haselünne and Lingen, the "Schloß Clemenswerth" in Sögel, the Zoo "Tierpark Nordhorn"and the wharf of "Meyer Werft" in Papenburg, where many cruise ships were built and are stilll being built.
In Haselünne, you can sample the Berentzenhof, where "apfelkorn" (liqueur) is produced. You can take a guided tour around the factory. Kids will have the time of their lives at the "Monkey's Playland" in Meppen, in the "Ponyhof" in Twist and at the Aqualand of the "Ferienzentrum Schloß Dankern" in Haren.
