Holiday in Kirjais, Archipelago, Finland: Kirjais Kursgård convention center is located in the beautiful southern archipelago of Turku on the Kirjais island close to a village bearing the same name. The convention center is easily accessible both by road and from the sea. The road leads right up to the main building and coming from the sea it is only a few hundred meter's walk from the guest harbor.
The main building was originally built in 1922-23 and served as an elementary school for the children from the Kirjais island as well as the nearby islands. The school operated until the mid 60's. During the last 10 to 15 years the activity has been focusing on arranging summer camps and "nature school" camps for children. This activity will continue an it will be further developed. Since the autumn 2003 we have developed the service we can offer especially in the autumn, winter and spring months. We will extend the use of the old main building with its spacious main room where it is ideal to hold seminars and conferences.
