One area in Cyprus that bears witness to early human settlement by humankind is the Vasilikos Valley. The remains found here date back to 7000 B.C. The pleasant climate and the fertility of the soil are the reasons for the wealth in history the valley has experienced for thousands of years. The small, typically Cypriot village of Kalavasos snuggles at the hills surrounding the valley. Agriculture remains the main source of income. Only in recent has a gentle tourism succeeded in fighting the growing depopulation. The old town house where you will stay and which was renovated in 1988 is located in the serene village centre.
The holiday flats with a living surface of about 50 sqm are located on various floors and have either a terrace or a balcony. During renovation of this house and its flats which may be staggered care was taken for a traditional character to remain, the terracotta or wooden floors bearing witness to that. Preparing the freshly-purchased food in the kitchen line promises to be at least as much fun as enjoying it thereafter. The bedrooms have two single beds each. Admission is reserved for guests residing in the holiday flats.
