One area in Cyprus that bears witness to early human settlement by humankind is the Vasilikos Valley. The remains found here date back to 7000 B.C. The pleasant climate and the fertility of the soil are the reasons for the wealth in history the valley has experienced for thousands of years. The small, typically Cypriot village of Kalavasos snuggles at the hills surrounding the valley. Agriculture remains the main source of income. Only in recent has a gentle tourism succeeded in fighting the growing depopulation. The old town house where you will stay and which was renovated in 1988 is located in the serene village centre.
The holiday flats with a living surface between 35 sqm and 45 sqm are located on various floors and have either a terrace or a balcony. During renovation of this house which was built in the early 20th century care was taken for a traditional character to remain, the terracotta floor bearing witness to that. Preparing the freshly-purchased food in the living/dining room´s kitchen line promises to be at least as much fun as enjoying it thereafter. The bedroom has two single beds. It may be air-conditioned (surcharge applicable). An additional bed can be rented. The common swimming pool about 12 m x 6 m) is situated near the church. Admission is reserved for guests residing in the holiday flats.
