There is plenty of room for everyone to relax in comfort. As you would expect, the furnishings are of good quality and decorations are stylishly tasteful. All of the downstairs rooms give access to the enormous, shaded terrace that runs the full length of the house. In winter you can warm yourself in front of the fireplace in the lounge and dine in the formal dining room. The nearest beach, Escape Beach, is a mere 10 minute drive away and there are countless others stretching west and east along the coast. Escape Beach which has a full range of facilities such as lockers, showers, loungers, umbrellas and cafes is sandy, gently sloping and is absolutely ideal for families. There is a village restaurant and bar a few minutes walk from the villa or a short car ride will bring you to the many restaurants for which Northern Cyprus is famous. Within 10 minutes drive you can enjoy French, Italian, Turkish, Cypriot, Chinese, Indian or even Australian stone based cuisine. There are 2 golf courses within 30 minutes and a new one due to open. Horse riding, museums, castles, scuba diving, walking very close by.

Notes: Upstairs there are four luxurious double bedrooms, all air conditioned/heated. Three of them have king sized beds and one has twin beds. All the beds have extremely high quality mattresses and are furnished with superb bed linens— you can be sure of a comfortable night’s sleep.
The master bedroom has an en-suite wet room and the other bedrooms share a bathroom complete with bath and shower. Two of the bedrooms have private balconies and all of them have large picture windows allowing you to wake up to the fantastic sea views. The mountainside location and constant gentle breeze keeps the property cooler than those at sea level.
The stairways and downstairs rooms have marble floors throughout which are both luxurious and wonderfully cool on hot days. The bedrooms have wooden floors and the bathrooms are ceramic tiled.
Outside, the extra large 11m x 6m swimming pool is a crystal clear delight all day and is lit for your enjoyment on warm summer nights.

Holiday in Ilgaz, Alsancak, Northern Cyprus: If you like walking, trails wind upwards literally from the bottom of the garden and you can spend days exploring the beautiful Besparmak Mountains right from your own back door. There are many quiet forest tracks which are maintained by the local Forestry Department. Two of our favourites are a 1.5km walk between Ilgaz and Malatya which passes a waterfall along the way, and also a 4km walk from Ilgaz to Karaman which passes along the ridge from the Five Finger Mountain to the Armenian monastery. The warm clear water is ideal for scuba diving and there are two diving schools within 10 minutes of the villa. Amphora Diving on Escape Beach offers both BSAC and PADI instruction as well as daily diving expeditions and is particularly recommended. Turtle Bay Diving Centre at the Hotel Sempati in Lapta also offers daily expeditions. There are some lovely reefs just off the northern shore plus the ancient shipwreck at Girne. Golf in Ilgaz, Alsancak, Northern Cyprus: There is a seven hole practice course in Yesilyrt and a nine hole course at the Soli Inn in Guzelyurt—about 30 minutes drive. A new 18 hole course is now open at Esentepe (about 20 minutes drive) - international standard country club. Places to visit: Northern Cyprus has many exciting sightseeing opportunities from the quaint charm of ancient Kyrenia with its shops, castle and picturesque harbour, to the crusader castles of St Hilarion and Buffavento, the gothic charm of the ruined abbey of Bellapais and the wonder of the ancient city of Salamis. You could while away a pleasant day cruising the coastline from a traditional wooden gulet. The Karpaz Peninsular provides one of the last unspoilt nature preserves in the Mediterranean and should not be missed. Turtles regularly visit the beaches. Birdwatchers flock to Northern Cyprus as do naturalists who enjoy the wonderful wild flowers that bloom everywhere in spring. Kyrenia Harbour is one of the most picturesque in the Mediterranean and comes to life at night with many bars and restaurants. The town is a warren of interesting shops.
