Holiday Apartment in Bucheben, Salzburg:
There are six apartments in the cosy cottage "Goldgrube". Your apartment is approx. 95 m˛ and is situated on the third floor. The unusual name "Goldgrube" goes back to one of the previous inhabitants of the house, a gold cleaner, who was active in his profession until the Fifties. There are still gold cleaning contests in the region.
The cottage has a lit tennis court, a swimming pool with solarium, a sauna with showers, solarium and relaxation rooms, a barbecue near the river where a campfire is regularly lit. You can also use a typical "Stube" (bar). The "Stube" reminds of the old days of the gold seekers.
Apart from the occasional farmer, the road along the house is only used by walkers and cyclists, which guarantees your peace and quiet. The quiet surroundings make this holiday home ideal for nature lovers with or without children. And your pets are welcome here too !
The small village of Bucheben is situated in the 30 km long, sunny Rauris valley. The Goldgrube is situated 1000 m high on the border of the “National Park Hohe Tauernö with fabulous views on the 3105 m high “Sonnblickö.
The alpine ski area has a nice family atmosphere and offers enough challenges for novice and expert alpine skiers or snowboarders. There is a ski school in Rauris and you can hire skis there. The ski coach halts approx. 300 m away from the holiday home. Rauris has five great slopes and one of them goes along the holiday home. You can make fantastic ski tours, there is a cable car which is also open at night, you can make a walk by torch light, a sleigh trip or Eisstockschiessen with the locals.
Pure fun - both in summer and winter !
