In the heart of the ski and hiking area of Verditz, is the cosy holiday-house Lärchenboden (150m2). This house disposes of an indoor pool (4x3m) with sauna where you can relax wonderfully after a day of skiing or hiking: invigorating for body and mind. The house is situated on an altitude of 1200m and is blessed with a splendid view on the beautiful mountain landscape of Carinthia.
In winter you can ski very well at an altitude of 1900m. Directly by the house you'll find 16 km of slopes in different categories and there is a good ski-school, where skiing instructors will be glad to put you on the right track. Therefore, the ski-area is very well suited for families with children.
The lively town of Villach (20 km) is great for a little visit. Besides, the summer toboggan track in Verditz is great fun for young and old. There is a mountainbike path leaving right from the house. If you buy the Kärnten Card, for a few tenners you have access to lots of activities in the area, such as free entry to several ski-lifts, animal parks, swimming-pools, nature parks, museums and castles. A nice area is the region around the town Afritz, situated on one of the Carinthian mountain-lakes. Here you can fish and sail in total tranquillity. The lake of Millstättersee is also a very beautiful and popular lake to pay a visit to.
