EL`LURE, our Bahama vacation home, is located directly on the water between the villages of The Current and Lower Bogue. The house on Eleuthera sits on a coral ridge covered with vegetation and an assortment of fruit trees, sea grapes and palms. There are steps leading into the water which varies from 1 to 3 feet, depending on the tide.
The bottom is white sand and great for swimming, finding sand dollars and snorkeling along the rocky shoreline at high tide. You can walk or swim for hundreds of yards from the shore, as there are no currents or drop-offs, just white sand. The location of the house takes advantage of four (4) truly different Bahamian cultures, The Current, The Bogues, Harbour Island and Spanish Wells.

Notes: The vacation home on Eleuthera was built in 1970, but has been extensively remodeled over the years, adding central air-conditioning in 2005. Our family has been visiting the area for over 40 years, so we are part of the community, as are our guests and people visiting our island home. You willnot be disappointed if you are looking for a quiet 'island vacation' on one of the most beautiful and unique island in the Caribbean, dating back to the early 1600's. ENJOY!!

Eleuthera is Not for Everyone?: Eleuthera and The Current area is not for everyone. It is quiet and you make your own fun. There are local restaurants and the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.
Great food: Night life is limited. But there are some of the finest restaurants in all of the Bahamas located just a short water taxi ride from the house.
Water, Fishing, Snorkeling & SCUBA are the best: You can 'bottom fish' for grouper, or troll for marlin. Bone fishing is outstanding.
You can be on the water and never see another soul. Relax...

Notes to the Rates of the Vacation Home in Eleuthera, Bahamas
Rental Deposit: Security/Damage. Deposit: A non-refundable Rental Deposit (if reserved dates are not resold) of $350.00 is to be paid with the signing of this Agreement which reserves the Term Dates. Upon occupancy of the house, the Rental Deposit will be converted to the Security/Damage Deposit, to be refunded at the termination of the Term Dates, less the cost of any damage. Returning the deposit can take several weeks until the phone bill is received. The Lessee’s liability is not limited solely to the amount of the Security/Damage Deposit.
Rental Rates: The minimum rental rate is $1500, US. This is for two (2) people for seven (7) nights. Additional persons are $125 each (7-Days) with a maximum of six (6) occupying the house. Additional rental days are $150.00 for two (2), plus $25.00 per each additional person, per day.
There is a 10% discount for two (2) weeks. 15% for three (3) weeks or more.
