Bang Rak
Many young people choose Bang Rak because of its proximity to Chaweng''s nightlife and the comparatively low accommodation prices. Big Buddha''s snow white beach and the bordering plam trees invite to swim or doze in the sun. It''s from this beach where the boats leave to Koh Phangan''s famous Full Moon Party every month, an event that is celebrated by about 10,000 party goers, depending on the season.

Location of Bang Rak
Bang Rak is located in the North East coast of Koh Samui, about 15 minutes by motor vehicle from Chaweng and about 25 minutes from Nathon. Bophut is about 3,2km to the West and Prai Lem about 1,5 km North East.

Getting Around in Bang Rak
During day time, songteaws are traveling frequently between Chaweng and Bang Rak. A ride is about 50 THB. It makes sense to rent a motor vehicle to be flexible at night time unless you are prepared to pay 120 THB – 150 THB for the ride home.
