It's just like home in the middle of New Zealand's most interesting and scenic area. Travelling can be tiring day after day. Give yourself a break...having travelled all the way down the South Island. Relax for a couple of days...just you....in your own private surroundings. Be a part of a friendly farming community and you'll love the comfortable privacy! The Cottage's facilities include: • Three bedrooms plus bed divan: two queen size beds, 2 single beds plus divan, sleeps 8 or 11 including the hut carport, sleep out hut for children with bunks and bed/sofa • Fully equipped kitchen. You do your own cooking but a complete breakfast is stocked ready to eat. • Automatic washing machine, dryer, TV, video and radio • Fenced in large country section and garden, suits young children and dogs, electric blankets on all beds, access to cafe's, restaurants and takeaways, tennis court at the homestead, golf clubs, tennis racquets.

Holiday in Winton, Southland: If you haven't managed to catch a fish at the river, there are 3 pubs, a cafe in the local town 13 minutes away and several takeaways. The kitchen is also fully equipped. The house is easy care and you will enjoy the pleasant rural views and quiet surroundings. There's nothing like a holiday break in the country...expecially when the country is as beautiful as this!
The Nethershiel Farm: Since 1935, Nethershiel Farm has been a mixed sheep and cropping farm. We have run Coopworth and Border Leicester sheep. Crops have ranged from standard wheat, barley and oats to specialty grass seed crops. Currently we are producing cool climate flowers for export. These include paeonies, delphiniums, astilbe and hydrangeas. We also run a packhouse for seven months of the year and pack other suppliers flowers for the markets. Between September and April there is always some sort of activity in the flower unit or the packhouse to come and watch.
