Holiday villa in Bahamas, Eleuthera - This charming villa is perched on the side of a hill and is designed to take advantage of the tremendous views this site offers. There is a large patio facing the ocean that is ideal for looking out to the deep sapphire coloured waters, dining al fresco and star gazing. Waves can be seen breaking on reefs offshore, the sound of the surf breaking on the cliffs can be heard in the distance. Although comfortable for a party of four, the villa is also the perfect spot for a romantic getaway.
High wooden vaulted ceilings throughout the villa give it the feeling of space and light. The main bedroom has wicker furniture with a queen size bed and large, ocean facing windows. A smaller second bedroom contains a futon couch that pulls out into a double bed. The room has direct access to the patio through sliding glass doors. There is a shared large bathroom for these two bedrooms. A spacious comfortable living and dining area has wonderful ocean views and direct access to the patio through sliding glass doors.
A rental car is advisable with this villa. While the nearest beach only a 10 minute walk, you will want to be sure to visit the many pristine beaches and small villages that dot this 176 km long island.

Sightseeing on Eleuthera, Bahamas: A short water taxi ride from the northern part of Eleuthera Island is Harbour Island (or Briland, as it’s known to residents). Harbour Island is only 4,8 kilometres long and less than a kilometre wide and famous for its warm, pink-hued sand beach and quaint Loyalist architecture with rows of century-old trees bordering narrow flower-lined streets. Another short water taxi ride away is Spanish Wells, a quiet sleepy little island of fisherman and charming colourful cottages.
On the way north don't miss the Glass Window Bridge which shows the amazing contract of deep sapphire water on one side and calm clear turquoise water on the other. Going south is the quaint village of Governor's Harbour and far south is an inland blue hole and other smaller villages.
