Farmhouse in Lucca, Tuscany: Peaceful holiday farmhouse with pool in Barga, Lucca - The Garfagnana Valley is the hidden jewel of tuscany, peaceful and away from the tourist crowds, but within driving distance for trips out on the days that you decide that you really should be a tourist and visit Pisa or Florence or the seaside. Il Terrazzo has three houses, perfect for group and family holidays, combining independence and proximity for its guests. Each house is fully equipped and self-sufficient, each with bathroom(s) living room, kitchen with cooker, fridge/freezer, dish washer,coffee machine, yet the grounds and facilities allow for many shared activities and time to be spent together. The communal covered dining area seating 12+ people is perfect for al fresco meals. Equally the swimming pool provides a meeting place where time can be shared with family and friends. Community activities include a giant outdoor chessboard, table tennis, table football, and there is a very large play area with footbal goalposts, badminton/volley ball net basket ball goalpost, and even enough space to swing a golf club. The pool is equipped with many fun pool accessories for children and adults, and there are books, games jigsaws etc for quieter times, the covered dining area is a popular place on hot summer afternoons for sharing jigsaws or quietly reading. The estate will sleep 8-14 people. The farmhouse has an uninterrupted view on the Apuan hillside

Some things about the estate: The estate, on a terrace above the valley, is surrounded by 5 hectares of gently terraced and flat land, located in a beautiful, peaceful setting in an environmentally protected area. Built in 1872 as a working farm, the property has been renovated in traditional tuscan style. Every room has exposed chestnut beams and is furnished to a high standard of comfort. There is a chestnut wood, and the mature garden has walnut trees, holly trees, kiwis, apples, pears, figs and vines, a small herb garden, lavender bushes and in summer the terraces are scattered with many colourful potted geraniums and fuschia. Notes to the Rates of the Farmhouse in Lucca, Tuscany
A welcome pack of wine and local produce is included. The rental price includes all electricity, a mid week change of towels - personal and pool towels, 8 hours mid week cleaning, and final clean. Price is for all three properties. A maid can be arranged for extra days if required. A security deposit of 800 euros is payable with final payment and refunded one month after the end of the holiday. Telephone charges are not included. These will be deducted from your security deposit before it is returned to you. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday.
