Spetses is situated to the Northeast of the entrance to the Argolic Gulf, surrounded by the smaller islands Spetsopoula and Agios Giannis and the tiny Bourboulo.

Archaeological findings on the island: Several excavations were conducted in the last century on and they brought to light: Ceramics of the First -Hellenicperiod of the 3rd millenium BC in Aghia Marina. [St. Marina] Protobyzantine, Paleochristian churches in Baltiza. A Byzantine settlement in Zogeria. The bronze-age shipwreck of Dokos [2.200 B.C.] , considered to be the oldest known in the world. The procedure of cleaning and restoring the findings, a minute and difficult work tha requires patience and time, takes place in specially arranges rooms of the Museum of Spetses, the highest-security and best organized museum in the region. Today, some 100 pieces are ready for the exhibition. The Mycenaean shipwreck of Iria [approx. 1200 B.C.]

The first Greek infrastructure for tourism: Sotirios Anargyros was the first to foresee the changes that would take place in the world and with his personal intervention he marked the modern history of Spetses. He created the first Greek infrastructure for tourist development, by having the regional roads opened and having the “ Posseidonion” Hotel built. He thus turned Spetses into the summer resort of the high society: Kings, Princes, Prime Ministers, Presidents and well known personalities from all over the world were entertained in this hotel every summer. Since 1928, when Spetses became a permanent mooring of the British fleet, the presence of British officers added to its splendour.

The best known traditional event on the Island: Attracts thousands of visitors, is the re-enactment of the naval battle of Spetses of September 1822. This is an original popular festival where hundreds of inhabitants contribute to its realization. The events take place in the first half of September, and last for a week, reaching their peak with the blowing up and burning of the effigy of the Turkish flagship, in a pandemonium of fireworks and crackers! The figure that dominated the naval operations of the War of Independence in 1821 was Laskarina Bouboulina. The daughter of the Hydriot Captain Stavrianos Pinotsis, she was born in the prison of Constantinople in 1771. Her name, Bouboulina, derives from her second Spetsiot husband D. Bouboulis. When Bouboulis was killed during a battle with Algerian pirate ships in 1811, Bouboulina took over his trading operations and the preparation for the revolution. She became a member of the 'Filiki Etaireia', the secret organization which was preparing the revolution.

An advanced payment of 30% of the total rent is required, for valid booking. The rest 70% along with a refundable guarantee (€ 5.000) must be paid, within one month, after the initial booking and -in any way- 15 days prior to the first booking date. The booking is considered final, only after the above payments. The advanced payment and the rent are not refundable in case of cancellation by the tenant. The guarantee takes care of any damages done to the building, furniture, equipment, linen, decorative items etc., etc. or excess telephone. In the opposite case, the guarantee is refundable on the date of departure of the tenant. The owner of the villa has no legal or/and financial responsibility whatsoever, for any accidents or/and misfortunes the tenants may suffer, during their staying at the villa.
