Train station, with direct connections to Lisbon (30 km) is 5 walking minutes from property. The beautiful beach of Praia das Maçãs is 13 km distant, and touristic destinations like Estoril and Cascais are 20 km away.

Visit Sintra: Essentially romantic in character this town was poetically described by Lord Byron as "this glorious Eden". It was declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Original Sintra is not large to visit but it now encompasses two outlying areas named Estefânia and São Pedro. As the older part sits on a granite slope it is best seen on foot or by a horse-drawn carriage.

Praia das Maçãs: Praia das Maçãs is located 13 Km west from Sintra. This small village offers one of the best sandy beaches in the region. Life here is still undisturbed. Only on week-ends can you meet a few more visitors looking for relaxation. In Praia das Maçãs one finds everything required for the day to day needs. There are two small supermarkets, one butchery, one bakery, a post office, a few shops and some good restaurants. On weekdays, there is a small open air market offering fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as a lot of other items.
An old tramway was reactivated, and travels again between Praia das Maçãs and the entrance of Sintra during summertime.

Colares: At the feet of the Sintra mountains and very close to the sea, the town of Colares is absolutely delightful and has long been a very popular summer resort.
Colares is also a demarcated wine-growing region, producing the very popular and increasingly rare Colares wine, which can be tasted at the Adega Regional, in a very beautiful building in the town centre. Right next to it is the tram station which links Colares with Praia das Maçãs in the summer months.
